Homeopathy.
Whatchu know about it?
Basically, it’s an energetic form of medicine that’s been around since the 1800’s or so (1796 to be exact) and it’s the #1 form of alternative medicine in the world. The remedy usually will cost only a few dollars. It was a highly effective medicine and very popular until the early 20th century when pharmaceuticals became the hallmark signature of Allopathic medicine. Homeopathic doctors were basically bullied off the scene and it’s been a hidden gem waiting to be rediscovered ever since.
The basic principle of homeopathy is that Less is More. Thus, the more diluted the remedy, the more effective it can be. Talk about sustainability!
As someone who has been studying flower essences and energetic healing modalities, I understand this concept very well and see the success with its application all the time. I find the most profound evidence from my own experience.

The Homeopathic Research Proving 2012
I saw a flier asking for Provers (volunteers) to assist with a Homeopathic research study. It asked for generally healthy people, and offered compensation. $150 to be exact. It was a double blind study, meaning the provers and the supervisors would not know what the remedy was being used (only the Director would know). It required some journaling to keep track of any symptoms that arise, an initial meeting to introduce the study, and a 2nd meeting to close out the experiment.
Since i had already studied homeopathy and understood the general nature of such a project, I was happy to participate. It’s a very natural approach to health and I wanted to support the efforts to make it available to others, which is the purpose of the study. It’s done on healthy people with the understanding that whatever symptoms arise in the healthy person are the very symptoms it would be used to treat in the patient. Founding principle of Homeopathy: Like cures Like.
I agreed and was selected to participate.
I was paired up with a supervisor who was detail-oriented, very thorough and observant. To say the least. She checked in with me almost on a daily basis, which kept me strictly motivated to keep up on my journaling — or else!
We did one week of journaling at the start just to get the base symptoms before introducing the unknown remedy. I was to take the remedy 3x/day, for up to a week. If new symptoms were shown then the remedy was to be stopped.
I made it to 4 doses (3 on the first day, and 1 on the second day) before Stefanie told me to stop. I was so confused. ”Are you sure i’m showing symptoms?” I didn’t really feel that much different, other than a strong desire to meditate. (Normally i put meditation off like a chore, but the morning after i took the remedy i woke up wanting to meditate first thing.) Surely that’s not a real symptom?
But she felt it was. So i was commanded to stop.
We continued journaling for another 3 weeks.
At some point during the proving, i burned my tongue on some sizzling hot soup. Literally - Sizzling Rice Soup. I let the soup sit for a few minutes, then blew on it, and thought that would be enough….but it wasn’t. Scalded my tongue pretty badly. A few days later, the burn became a massively infected lesion, swelling up the right side of my face. I was convinced the infection was due to my high-sugar diet — breeding grounds for bacteria and infection. The excruciating pain lasted for about one week, and during that time it hurt to talk, sneeze, swallow, and simply do nothing at all. I can only describe it as, “the feeling of strep throat on the side of my tongue and mouth.” It was in the top 5 worst pains of my life.

Shortly after this incident, some minor and random things occurred on the right side of my body. For instance, i hyperextended my right leg, so i felt sharp splinters around my knee and calf. I had some lower back pain, on the right side of my spine, which I assumed was from poor ergonomics at my office. I broke a nail (you know, the really far down kind that hurts?) on my right thumb.
All of these things were to be documented, although i assumed they had nothing to do with the remedy itself. But it was then that Stefanie pointed out to me, “everything happens to you on your right side.” So it does…. including the ganglion cyst in my right wrist, which has been growing for a few years.
“How interesting,” i thought. ”I’ve never noticed that before.”
And as I was documenting my dreams (part of the required journal), Stefanie noticed that for 3 nights, back to back, the number 3 was very prominent. For instance, in the first dream (the night I first took the remedy) I had a dream I was in a garden, looking at some trees. There were 3 trees, each with a different type of bloom, and magnolia being the only one i recognized…but they were all beautiful. A 4th tree, the largest of them all, was a collection of the 3 different blooms. It was as if the tree had merged the energy of each of the other three trees into one, unifying tree… that still allowed them to bloom their own unique bloom, but it created unity with all of them.
The next night I dreamt I was at 3 different places, speaking easily and happily at each of those places with someone whom I rarely talk to. The next day, in real life, that person sent me a message. I was blown away!
On the 3rd night after taking the remedy, I had a dream about all 3 of my cats.
Stefanie said, “Wow. Look at all of these 3’s!”
She then went on to tell me, “maybe it’s something with the remedy. It will be interesting to see if any of the other provers experience something similar. You know, like a snake remedy.”
I didn’t know. ”A snake remedy? As in, a serpent? What do you mean?”
Apparently, they can make snake remedies. Where they put the energy of a snake into a remedy. They can set whatever intention they’d like into any remedy. They can do numbers, for instance - a snake remedy would carry the energy of 2, because traditionally, snakes represent duality and so, the number 2. Which is why there are two snakes on the Caduceus, our medical symbol.

They can also direct remedies to a particular side of the body. For instance, the right side. Or the left side.
I find all of this so completely fascinating. It really opened homeopathy up to new levels for me, well beyond the greatness of my initial teachings. I was captivated from the humble start, and that awe has only grown exponentially.
When it came time for me to meet with the Director of the study and complete my exit interview, I thought for sure I was given a placebo. Out of about 35 people, there were a few placebos circulating. I thought my experiences would be random only to me, and that I was not really a good candidate for this experiment.
(Even though i had been told that even people on placebos may experience similar symptoms to the provers, just because of the collective group energy….)
We sat down, the Director and I, along with Stefanie….and reviewed the journal notes.
3 Things are Particularly Interesting:
#3 the number 3. As Stefanie explained to him about my dreams and the reoccurring 3, he smiled and said softly, “i can’t tell you too much now, but I will tell you there was a 3 in this remedy.”
BOOM. instant shock to me.
#2 when we explained the tongue situation, and how i wasn’t able to talk for about a week, he said: “that actually happened with a lot of the provers. they weren’t able to talk.” everyone experienced different situations —- not everyone burnt their tongue on hot soup and suffered an infected lesion. but, there were many different events that led to the similarity of not being able to talk. it was as if we each called in situations, unknowingly, and energetically, to create the symptom.
#1 When we were discussing the blooming trees dream, they asked me to explain how I could feel both energized/productive, and also tranquil harmony. ”Don’t those feelings contradict?” …”Not at all,” I told them. It was a feeling of fulfillment. Of pursuing passion, and simultaneously feeling completely relaxed. Balance. Accomplishment. Peacefulness. The Director stopped taking notes suddenly and looked up at the ceiling, as if searching for words. I waiting curiously. Finally, he spoke. “I’m a bit emotional about all this. It’s really stirring up my emotions to hear this. I will tell you that this remedy is about unification [see again: the unifying tree above] and it seems that you got straight to the heart of the remedy.”

Why do we doubt ourselves? Why do we doubt the magic of science?

The data documented from this research study will be published soon. In January, there will be an unveiling event to learn more specifics about the remedy. Soon it should be available as a form of medicine for those who need it.
What a grand opportunity!
I felt so elated from the whole experience, that after the exit interview i started to walk straight out of the office and the research coordinator had to shout my name so i would stop. “Don’t forget your check!” ….oh yeah! I get PAID for all of this?! well, the tongue situation was pretty costly. But, nonetheless i found this proving to be completely priceless.
